BlueBox: The Text Adventure

Welcome to BlueBox: The Text Adventure! The Teach-Yourself-Blueboxing (80s style) Text Adventure. Unlike a traditional text adventure, you don't type commands, you play tones into the microphone as if it was an old school telephone (or use the on-screen controls). On the right hand side are some action buttons (Toggle Phone Hook simulates lifting the phone reciever/handset, that'a a good place to start) and an indication of what is happening on the phone network (more will be revealed as you progress).

If this is your first attempt at doing this, turning on the verbose log may help you understand what is happening as a lower level.

To progress you will need some kind of "Blue Box" device. As Steve Wozniak is no longer selling them and Captain Crunch whistles are no longer in cereal, you can either use a web based one such the one from phreaknet.org/bluebox or fire up the Phreaking Tool DOS machine in RetroNetSec. This is much more fun than using the on-screen blue box buttons on the right
